Wrapping up 2024

Hey There,
I thought it would be fun to talk about my end-of-the-year wrap-up. The goals I set for my reading in 2024 and how close I got to completing any of them. 2023 was the largest reading year for me and really pushed me to see how far I could go.
So the goal for 24 was a 24 list, where I chose 24 books off my physical TBR that I wanted to complete. I honestly kind of forgot about it until halfway through the year, so it was a lot of binging.
I set my reading goal at 70 books since '23's goal was 65 books and I'd surpassed that pretty quickly. I also wanted to grow my bookstagram, and just generally have a more book-centric presence online, which also went pretty well.
Out of the 24 books I wanted to read in 2024, I completed 10. I thought about creating another list for this year but thought better of it. With the rigamarole that 2025 is about to me, I want to enjoy my reading, as my form of Protest and punch Nazis in the face. I don't think this is the year for completing a rigorous list.
I did surpass my 70-book reading goal, culminating in a new personal best, 189 books. I was a little frustrated with myself that I decided to edit on the last day of the year instead of reading to make it a full 190, but maybe this will be the year for that. 189, seeing that number is still blowing my mind, and we're 23 days into the new year!
As far as growing my Bookstagram, I feel that was pretty successful as well, seeing as I surpassed 600 followers, and 30 YouTube subscribers this year. It was also the first time one of my book videos passed 500 views! 😱 I also celebrated 3 years on Bookstagram this year with a little graphic, and I am honestly so excited to see what is next on my bookish journey.

Here are some more in-depth stats from The Storygraph, I love how much they keep track of.

I want to keep my goals for reading in 2025 pretty simple so I only have five. I want to read 80 books this year. I want to read 3 translated works. I've moved from a lined book journal to a bullet journal and want to get comfortable with that. I want to continue to grow my little bookish community. I want to read 30 books from my physical collection. As of the time I'm writing this, I'm doing well at one novel off my physical collection, and 17 books finished out of 80.
