Wandering...:Envision Theaters
Long Time No See!
It’s been a while since I brought the camera out for just me. There’s an abandoned Movie theater in town, that I would love to own, so I wandered through the perimeter of it and took pictures. It’s been closed for about 3 ish years now, and it’s going to be open soon for an auction I thought I might be too late if I waited any longer so I headed out!
I wandered around the front back and sides of the building, and it was clear that it closed down at the same time my theater did for covid because the now showing posters are the same or similar. Here’s what I captured.
There’s something both calming and distressing about the amount of disrepair the theater is in on the outside. The pretty lake and lantern lights, combined with the broken glass of the Coming soon Posters and the overgrown building just speak to me.
