Series #92: Only Murders In The Building S2 Thoughts

Hello There!
Hope you all are doing well. One thing my sister does really well is getting me in the mood to finish a television program. I tend to start them and then fall off, and spend my time playing video games or reading, or knitting, and I much prefer to rewatch things that make me comfortable then trying something that may or may not be good.

I watched Season one and never finished the post about it, I’m looking at it as I type this up withering away in my drafts section of my blog, as it stares back at me disapprovingly. There are Spoilers below, please BEWARE!
Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building starts right off the heels of solving their first murder and completing their first podcast. In celebration, they spend most of the night drinking and joyfully spending time together on the roof, running out of champagne, Mabel realizes that she has more in her apartment.
When She comes in, she is greeted by Bunny, The Apartment Manager of the Arcadia, in a hoodie of their merch, stabbed with a knitting needle and dying in her arms. Bunny’s Last words? “ 14 Savage” The trio is carted off to the police station to answer questions about yet another murder, and our series takes off from there.

I think they were a lot more comfortable this season because the comedy and the ridiculous level was definitely upped. I found myself laughing more from Oliver’s antics than anything else. We were finally introduced to Lucy, Charles Long Lost almost child and she’s adorable, I’m so excited to get to know more about her!

We learn more about Mabel in this season as well, as she is given a hot love interest in Cara Delevingne as Alice. Alice is an artist looking to pick Mabel’s brain and it evolves into a little bit more than that, as she becomes a suspect in the ongoing mystery of who killed Bunny.

My favorite part of this season was Charles just becoming more well-rounded and more interactive, I felt like he was responsive only to whatever Mabel and Oliver were doing in the first season, and they were just so funny! I was in love with the wardrobe for this season, and so excited to learn more about Poppy White, as I just really liked her vibe.

My favorite twist was that the Arcadia had all of these secret passageways throughout the building making it easier for the killer to make their way through the Arcadia undiscovered. There were even a decent amount of scares this season, I was almost generally worried that one of the main three wasn’t going to survive to season 3.

Only Murders in the Building’s time jump for the final episode was a bit weird but I was glad they got the chance to woosah and heal right before Paul Rudd catches the death live in front of a studio audience. I’m excited to see our new list of suspects and rifle through the clues.

Are you excited for Season 3 of Only Murders In The Building?
Until Next Time,
Moriartie
