Novels #77: August Wrap up

Hey There!

Hope you’re having a good month!

Let’s talk about August, it was the best reading month I’ve had all year. I managed to put away 12 books this month. I filmed a video about it, but I’m also suffering from a cold so I’m not all there, I forgot to mention book 12 which is Most Likely To Die by P.J. Stanley.

Most Likely To Die is a horror slasher Mystery about Popular bitch (her words not mine) Brynn is accosted by her senior year photo with eyes crosses out and horns over it printed in the yearbook with the caption of Most Likely To Die over it. Determined to get it fixed, she realizes that she isn’t the only one that should be frightened. The body count in this novel is ridiculous, and the twists you just won’t be prepared for. A masked killer dressed as the school mascot is making it, is their personal mission, to make the population decrease daily. I loved the story and the main characters, again the character I wanted to survive did not, but it was an enjoyable read. I gave it 4 stars.

The 5 books I mention at the beginning of the video are in order: This series: Dead End Drive-In is a cozy mystery by Carolyn Q Hunter, and they revolve around two sisters as they solve mysteries, and get ready for second run movie premieres in their small Louisiana town. Each novel had an increased presence of the supernatural and elevated body count so they were right up my alley. I devoured these novels. I finished one every day at the beginning of August. I was so disheartened to find that the story stopped at book 5.

This was the best reading month of the year so far! I’m so excited to see what else I get into for the rest of the year reading-wise. What did you read this month?

Until next Time,

Moriartie
