Novels #76: July Wrap up

Hey there!
I got so distracted with buying and reading all of the books in August that It completely slipped my mind to talk about the books I read in July! July wasn’t really a busy month just with three birthdays going on and turning 31, reading wasn’t the primary directive.
Normally I film my book wrapups but I am currently working on the editing of the August wrap-up, and I want to get it out before it becomes 2 months late, so here we go!
I already told you about the 2 book hauls I did for July since it was my birthday month and Honestly… I went a bit crazy, but as presents, I received 6 new books as well and want to talk about that. I received both volumes of Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe, and they were amazing. I read both in July and gave them both 5 stars! I also love looping back to older content I’ve created so have a link to an interview I did with Rachel when I first started reading Lore Olympus like 5 years ago.

I received four books from Boy Wonder. All New Nancy Drew 1, Without a trace, by Carolyn Keene. The Murder of Mr. Wickham by Claudia Gray, Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak and Death Wins a Goldfish by Brian Rea (Which was the only book I read in March and was an absolute favorite).
I read 4 books in July. Volumes 1 and 2 of Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe, A Recipe for Disaster by Carolyne Keene, and The Creepy Case Files of Margo Maloo by Drew Weing.
It was a good reading month! I had no books with less than 4 stars! I thoroughly enjoyed Nancy Drew as it was part of the case files series (my favorite) and it was a pretty wild ride, with dangerous cooking, recipe stealing, and governmental espionage.
The Creepy Case Files of Margo Maloo was adorable and such a unique concept. It’s a graphic novel about a monster mediator. Helping to create helpful conversations between children and the things that go bump in the night in Echo City. The art was very reminiscent of Noir and old-timey mystery novels.
What did you read in July?
Until Next Time,
Moriartie
