Novels #73: July Book Haul #2

Hey There!
Fancy seeing you here! Sure I know it’s only been like a week since the last time I talked about books that I bought, but July is my birthday month and honestly, if you’re expecting shelf control from me, you really are in the wrong place.
To keep my youtube channel breathing, I filmed a now edited, but originally 24-minute video talking about the new novels that I bought. Spoiler alert, I have ALREADY read a book that I’ve purchased, I can already hear my parents now…
One thing that I didn’t realize until I started talking about these novels is that they are HUGE! The Page count alone for the novels included in this video is audacious, and I honestly don’t know why I do this to myself!

So even after waiting 5 days to film this video because I was waiting on a book to be shipped to me from Barnes and Nobles, I FUCKING FORGOT TO INCLUDE THE BOOK IN THE VIDEO! Classic me, so the book in question is The Midnight Club by Christopher Pike, if that sounds familiar to you, it’s because it’s become a netflix series! I remember seeing the book on the shelf as a child but since I attempted a Christopher Pike novel before and it didn’t go well, I literally never picked him up again.
However I prefer to at least have working knowledge of a world before I hop into a television program or a movie, if I know it does indeed come from some kind of reading material. The back cover of Midnight Club states that it’s about a hospice for young people, where a group of five young men and women get together to tell each other scary stories at midnight. But one night, they make a pack that the first one to die has to contact them from beyond the grave, and then the fun begins. This novel comes in at 277 pages.
Another thing that I’m super excited to tell you about is that I’m starting a podcast! A bookish Podcast! I’m currently editing my first episode, and I’m not sure how often, I will be publishing but I am so stoked to share my books and reading with you in a whole new way! For more information feel free to check out its new homepage!
How many books have you bought this month?
Until Next Time,
