Handheld Mistress #97: Upcoming releases I'm waiting for
Hey Gang!
I’ve been pretty into gaming the last couple of weeks or so, and since I’m constantly on youtube, I’ve found a few that I’m super interested in!
So here are the games that I’m looking forward to for the switch. I do still have a ps4 but I honestly just play my switch more, so I’m trying to focus on those and build up that collection.
A few of the games that were on my list I have already picked up so you may see those twice.
Cult of the Lamb August 11: I’m honestly not sure what this game is about but the trailer was the cutest macabre thing Ive ever seen and I must play it! I’m excited for what looks like platform play and the little lamb character reminds me of Lion-o So I‘m down! I’m excited to see if were actually conjuring demons or if were trying to send them back where they came from.
Capcom Fighting Collection Bought: I grew up on Puzzle Fighter, Pocket Fighter and Darkstalkers, so I’m so excited to have a piece of my childhood back on my favorite gaming system! Plus with the new ability to play ranked matches online its going to bring a new aspect of competition to the game that wasnt there before.
Persona 5 Royals October: I loved playing Persona Q on my 3DS and while I bought Persona 5 for the ps4, it is literally unopened. That’s how much I barely use the ps4, at this point its around only for Arcade fighters. So with it coming to the switch, when I take everywhere it just makes more sense. Plus they’re bringing back 3 and 4, so I could potentially play them all!
Bear and Breakfast July 28: I honestly think I just love how chaotic this game looks! Another semi-cozy game about trying to keep a bed and breakfast afloat when you have a mischievous bear on the loose.
Splatoon 3 September 9: I missed out on the Splatoon 1 craze, because I didn’t have a Wii U, but I play the hell out of some Splatoon 2! It has by far the most played hours of any game! I hop on when I’m itching for a bit of excitement because its one of the few games I play with other people online.
Time On Frog Island NOW: I’m not really a cozy player, but something about this game seems like a blast. I’m ready for the platform fun, and all the new powers I‘lol be able to have by being a frog.
Bayonetta 3 October: I vaguely remember playing the original on the wii and having an absolute blast so now I’m ready for some more. I probably could go find two somewhere, but why go back when you can hop into the newest one?
The Delicious Last Course NOW: So I love playing Cuphead but it is like mega hard! This is one of the few games capable of making me ragequit. I am interested in the DLC but I am not going to buy it until I’m a bit further in Cuphead the game, I’m afraid ill buy it and it will sit there for ages because I haven’t finished the game yet.
Pac man World August 26: I loved playing PAC World on the PlayStation 2 and its always fun when you have a platformer! I’m excited for the giant pacman eating up the ghosts on a more regular basis honestly.
Kirby: Dream Buffett Summer ‘22: This one I’m super excited about! I’m always looking for new party and group games for my switch because I love playing with my family, so the fact that Kirby is getting his first party game has me super pumped! Plus all the adorable kirby’s and all the dessert related adventures? How could you not be excited about it?
Pokemon Scarlet + Violet November 18th: I’ve got a reaction video and an entire blog post about what I’m looking forward too in this new addition to the series. So I won’t wax on too much but now that my birthday is out of the way, November cannot come fast enough! I’m so excited to meet all the new Pokemon, getting back to getting lost in caves, training the cutest team and playing the new 4 player co op options!
