February Hopefuls

February Hopefuls

Well hello there,

Welcome back. We've survived another month! We should pat ourselves on the back, and now we've been given another chance to talk books. What a wonderful opportunity; let's not squander it.

February is a short month. I generally use it for 5-8 books that have a vast genre variety. Sometimes, I use it for Black History Month, sometimes romance, but since I've been reading diverse reads more often, I've just decided to read whatever will grab my attention.

If you've been here before, then welcome back, but if you're new here, let me explain. This is similar to your regular monthly TBR, however, my brain seems to hate to see an organized list of rules coming, so I open the gates a bit.

In Hopefuls, I put together a list of a few books that I've been wanting to read or that capture my interest, and then I download them all from the library, and hopefully, I get to them. There's no pressure, and there's no feeling of homework.

As of the 4th, Here's what I'm hoping to get to this month.

Nothing Ever Happens Here by Seraphina Nova Glass (ARC): I didn't need much more than a twisty mystery and a diabolical killer. I am In.

Count To Ten and Close Your Eyes by Lisa Unger (ARC): A mother is on the run from a diabolical killer.

You're Fatally Invited by Ande Pilegro (ARC): A locked room mystery? Literally one of my favorite mystery tropes.

Osgood As Dead by Cooper S. Beckett (ARC): Spectral Inspectors are on the hunt for a body-hopping creature. QUEER!

Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard (TBD Book Club Choice): A group of women create a list of the perfect man, but when the women start going on dates that resemble the list and start dying, they'll have to track down the killer.

The Hitchcock Hotel by Stephanie Wrobel: A reunion of a film class spends the weekend at a hotel remodeled to look like the Bates Motel, only to start dying one by one.

All Shall Mourn by Ellie Marney: The heavily awaited conclusion to the None Shall Sleep Trilogy will be released this week, and I'm so excited to read it.

I Need You To Read This by Jenna Maxwell: I'm giving her another chance. This one is supposed to be super creepy, and even though it's February, I'm looking for some spookier items. Valloween, if you will.

A Lethal Lady by Nekesa Afia: The next novel in the Harlem Renaissance mystery series. The 2nd had a wild ending, so I'm excited to see what's next for Louise in Paris.

I'm so excited to start another month's worth of reads! January passed by in the blink of an eye with 20 books, and I'm excited to see what gets my attention this month.

Do you have a list of things to read this month? Any favorites from January?

Until Next Time,

Gabs
