June Currently...

Hey There!
Life is kicking my butt right now, and honestly, I haven’t really had time to put together any in-depth blog posts lately, so instead, let’s talk about what I have been up to!
Currently, I’ve been spending my gaming time between Cookie Run Kingdom, Kirby and the Forgotten land, and Splatoon 2. With information about Splatoon 3 being released piece by piece, and knowing that it’s arriving this year, it’s just renewed my interest in Splatton 2! To this day it’s still the most hours played on my switch. I’m drooling while waiting for my copy of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge by the way that game looks GORGEOUS!

Currently, I’ve been reading, a lot! I only read one book in May because honestly I blinked and that month was gone, I still can’t believe that we’re in the 3rd week of June! 2022 really does need a speeding ticket. I finished Death Wins A Goldfish by Brian Rea, a graphic novel about Death taking a year’s vacation to experience life and it was beautiful, gave me a bit of existential dread but what great work doesn’t? The month of June has almost all been graphic novels because they’ve just been getting me lately! Out of the four books read this month, 3 have been graphic novels and two of them have been about ghosts!

Currently, I’ve been trying to improve my knitting skills, I’ve finished a potholder for Boywonder, just have to stuff it with batting and sew it up, I finished a sweater pattern I found on We Are Knitters, and now because I’m a bit too big for my britches, I’ve decided to freeform a pattern for a cardigan. Sure it’s a BAJILLION degree’s outside but why not make a sweater I’ll be wearing all the time in the winter?
Currently, I’ve been binging quite a few cartoons. Animation just brings me a sense of calm that’s hard to find in live television. I’m currently going back and forth between Wacky Races (1968), We Baby Bears (2022), Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart (2019), and Craig of The Creek (2018). Not having Cable really helped me sleep on the previously mentioned cartoons, I’ve only seen 3 episodes of Craig of the Creek and I know it’s going to be a favorite. I love the comedy, and the black representation is EVERYTHING!

What are you currently up to?
Until Next TIme,
Moriartie
