Cinema #82: Bob’s Burgers The Movie

Hello All!

I gotta preface this post by saying that even though I absolutely loved this movie, I have only seen maybe 10 episodes of Bob’s Burgers. My Fiance and Sister are really into the series, but the characters really annoy me. With that out of the way, I have to say that without a doubt I really really enjoyed this film! With my Fiance and Sister, already signing me up to go see the film, they also wanted to dress up, so we decided that I would be Linda, Sister, Tina and Boy Wonder as Bob.

Of course, I had just gotten my hair done when I realized in the same week was the movie premiere, So the wig was out of the question, but the rest of the outfit worked I think. We got quite a few compliments as we made our way to our seats. I brought my knitting just in case it was going to be something that I wasn’t actually going to enjoy, but all in all, I only made it through 3 rows before the movie grabbed me and didn’t let go.

With a flashback, we learn that there has been a murder, and then we are thrust into the life of the Belchers with a song! They definitely knew their audience, you presented me with two of my favorite things, A murder mystery and a musical, how could I say no?

The comedy was top-notch, I was chuckling through the whole film, even though generally it isn't my kind of comedy, and the high jinks that ensue after Luise decides that they are going to solve the mystery to save the shop were thoroughly enjoyable. I don’t want to give too much away, but I definitely enjoyed it, and implore you to give it a chance even if you’re like me and don’t like the television program.
