Novels #61: September Book Haul
Hey Gang!
Someone let me back into the book store and I made the most of it! I’ve been reading off and on for the last two months, but I haven’t been completing anything, and honestly I just haven’t been feeling it. The books that I have been making my way through is the rate of sluggish at best, and I keep getting distracted, starting new novels and not coming back to the ones I was already reading.
A good portion of my reading comes from the library with rented electronic books, and when the date is up the library takes them back regardless of whether or not I was finished. I’m hoping that this book purchase will pull me out of the book slump I seem to have found myself in.

This book haul is split between new physical books from the library and books from Half Price Books and Barnes and Noble. I did wind up picking up a few spooky books for the upcoming season.
I’m currently reading the Last Final Girl by Stephen Graham Jones and The Poet by Renee Lisa Jones. I came across the synopsis for the Poet on Goodreads and was instantly enthralled. However, I couldn’t find it at Barnes and Noble, The library, nothing. I had to get the kindle version off of Amazon, in order to read it! I’m currently on chapter 14, and I love the back and forth of the characters and the villain, I can’t wait to see how it turns out, and whether or not all of these deaths are connected.
Have you picked up any spooky books for the season? What are you currently reading? Tell me about it on Twitter and Instagram!
Until Next Time,
Moriartie
