Handheld Mistress #90: Indivisible
Hey gang!
Thanks to the awesome sale Nintendo had last week I picked up a few new digital games. I generally prefer my games physical but I couldn’t pass up the deals! I bought four new games; Indivisible, Miss Layton, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World and Paradise Killer.
Today I want to talk about Indivisible! I originally bought this game for the ps4 and it was pretty fun, but as Ive not been interested in playing my ps4 for quite some time, I decided the game would get more play on my switch, which turned out to be very true.
The game mechanics aren‘t too far off from the PS4 version and I love being able to take the games with me. I’m not usually one to stay in one place while even inside my house and I love that my switch can just come to me wherever I decide to perch.
You start as the main character Ajna, who is on a mission to destroy Vandahar who is out destroying villages who are in the way of his plan of mass destruction. He has one rule, be assimilated, or die. As she begins battle with his first in command, something miraculous happens, the beads she wears around her head take him in! Into her inner realm, so they can talk to each other and he can help out in battle, but other than that he stays in her head, and she’ll soon realize that occurs for all of the people she meets.
My favorite thing about this game is that’s its a pretty open melee side scroller which you don‘t see too much of now adays, where each character is assigned to a singular button and then you rain havoc on your enemy’s with any button combo you see fit. Depending on which direction your facing and in what order you do it, you can achieve maximum damage, armor breaks and more!
Ive defeated the first boss, Piyandar, the Human bone collector, and it took me forever! Piyandahar is a spider that eats humans and collects the parts to attach it as armor to its own body. After several revives I finally made it to the floating castle and now I’m making my way through their jail!
I’m super excited to check out the rest of the characters I can meet along the way.
What have you been playing lately?
Until Next TIme,
Moriartie
