My Favorite 5 Mothers

Hey Gang!

This upcoming Sunday is Mother’s Day! What better way to celebrate it then to do a write up on my favorite fictional mothers?!~ Go through my list and tell me in the comments, who you agree with or who you think I left off the list.

First up, The GOAT, Morticia Addams. Letting you know that its perfectly fine for you to be your unique original self every day all day long. The Addams family has been a favorite of mine for such a long time, and although there are lots of odd things that happen with them during their story, the number one thing about them is that they are so open and welcoming, even when everyone else runs away. Allowing her children to dream the biggest dreams and follow their own paths.

Next In Line, Bulma. Of course, the inventor queen had to be on the list. Capsule Corp has not only permeated other planets, but the logo can be found on earth cars all over the world. Bulma not only tamed the Prince of all Saiyans, but showed him that its okay to have emotions and how to deal with them accordingly. A leader of fashion since 1984.

Honey McPherson, if you are unsure of who that is, let me enlighten you! Dexter’s Mom, from Dexter’s Lab. I grew up watching Dexter as a child, and while it did not instill me with a love of science as my father was clearly hoping, it definitely opened my imagination to all the different kinds of things you could do or create with a knowledge of technology! Plus, her muffins were on point, anyone remember that episode?

Next up, Helen Parr. When the incredible was released it was such a refreshing look on a superhero family, and one of my favorite things about it was Violet and her mother Helen. Elastigirl, was a bad ass heroine who didn’t need any help and was ready to help anyone who needed it. She was an awesome role model for girls in a genre of films that normally didn’t feature a mother who was still alive.

Last but not least, Hippolyta. I know a lot of people don’t like her for the canon of throwing Diana out of Themiscara but you have to take a look at both sides. Yes, she told Diana not to return if she was going to go help the land of men, but Diana knew the consequences before she left. Hippolyta was the leader of a nation of amazon women, Diana was not the only one she had to care for, and if you take a look at it from the aspect of Hippolyta, I’m sending out my only daughter into the world to fix the issues, that man created and allowed to fester, it just takes on a whole new light, ya know?
