Cinema #81: Last Night in Soho
Well Hello There,
Long time no see. I’m so excited to be writing about this film for you guys! When the trailer came out, it didn’t really give too much away, and I knew I had to see it, right off the trailer. Its been a long time since that’s happened to me, I honestly think the last time that happened it was A Simple Favor. Which if you read that review, you’ll know I loved it, and I consider it in the top five of my favorite films of all time.

Spoiler alert, I absolutely loved Last Night In Soho. 5 stars, 10 out of 10, definitely recommend. I’m taking my sister and mother to see it tomorrow in fact, I was so enthralled. I hopefully won’t be spoiling anything with my review, but do keep in mind, there is a slight possibility.
Literally everything about this film was perfect. The cinematography was breathtaking, I was so enthralled in the film that the transitions were almost jarring but in the best way possible.

You follow a freshman Fashion Design student starting her year in London, after living her entire life in the middle of nowhere countryside of England. So you have the issue of her getting used to the bigger city and trying to keep track of her classes.
She gets a roommate who isn’t very nice, and she decides to move into her own sublet. Once there, her sensitivity to the supernatural begins to get the better of her and she begins to dream of a woman who had the room before her, and from there the story explodes.

This film is classified as a Horror Drama, but I wasn’t aware of this when I went to see it and I absolutely loved every minute of it. The cinematography alone makes the film worth a watch, but I think the story is really where this film shines.
Have you Seen Last Night In Soho? Tell me what you thought about it.
Until Next Time,
